I taught and did research in the School of Computing engineering and the Built Environment at Edinburgh Napier University. I have also given talks and supervised student dissertations at a variety of academic institutions. I have lectured at universities in Scotland, England, Ireland, Italy, Denmark, Portugal and Brazil. Applied Informatics
I was programme leader for the MSc Business Information Technology programme and a member of the Centre for Creative and Social Informatics.
Information Science
I taught the Information Management and Policy module for a number of years at City University of London, where I did my MSc and PhD in Information Science (now City St Georges).
Archives and Records Management
I taught the Metadata and Taxonomy module at CAIS (the Centre for Archive and Information Studies) in the School of Humanities.
